Privacy Policy

• Account: name, email address, phone number and password. Passwords are handled by our sign-in provider and are never visible to us.
• Profile: photo, city and state, date of birth, gender, sports and skill levels, and a GST number if you add one for tax invoices.
• Activity: communities you join, games you book, check-ins, backouts and your show-up record, tournament entries, scores and results, ratings you give and receive, dues and payments with each community, play credit, points and deals used at vendors, and store orders, including a delivery address and phone number for home delivery.
• Payments: the order and payment references, amount, method type and status that Razorpay returns. We do not receive your full card number, CVV, UPI PIN or banking password.
• Device and usage: notification tokens if you turn on notifications, IP address and request logs used for security and rate limiting, and anonymous page-view analytics.
• Messages: what you send us through the contact form, help requests and reports.

• To run your account and membership and show your QR code.
• To book games, run tournaments, place you in the right categories, keep dues ledgers and process payments, refunds and play credit.
• To send booking confirmations, reminders, payment receipts and notices you have asked for.
• To keep Alt Fit safe: verify memberships, prevent fraud and misuse, enforce holds and bans, and secure accounts.
• To understand how Alt Fit is used and improve it, using aggregated or anonymous data where possible.
• To meet legal, tax and accounting obligations.

We share only what each party needs for the purpose described.

Communities you join. The owner and co-hosts see your profile, membership ID, games, attendance, show-up record, dues and play credit with their community. Moderators see the same without money. Tournament organisers see your entry, partner, category, age group and gender, and your check-in and match results.

Other players. Your name, photo and level can appear on game lists, tournament draws, score cards and public game and tournament pages. Lists that hosts post to WhatsApp groups use your first name and initial only.

Partner venues and vendors. Shared only when you let them scan your membership QR code, redeem a deal or offer, place an order, or play at their venue:

• When a vendor scans your QR code: your name, photo, membership ID and status, email, phone, city, state, date of birth (to verify age-based offers) and GST number if you added one (for tax invoices), and the community you are scanned under.
• Your purchases, points and redemptions with that vendor.
• For store orders: the items, amount and payment status, and for home delivery your delivery address and phone number.
• Venues hosting a game or tournament: the list of players and their check-ins.

Vendors and venues may use this only to serve you, verify your membership, issue invoices and meet their legal obligations. They may not use it for unrelated marketing or share it further. They do not see your payment details, other communities' data or your activity elsewhere on Alt Fit.

Service providers that process data for us under contract: Supabase (database, sign-in and file storage), Vercel (hosting and anonymous analytics), Razorpay (payments and refunds), Resend (email), Expo and browser push services (notifications), Google Maps (map previews, loaded from Google when you view a map) and OpenAI (writing aids for community and vendor teams; a member's first name may be included when a vendor drafts a personal message).

When the law requires. We may disclose data to comply with law, a court order or a valid request from a government authority, or to protect the safety of people using Alt Fit.

Data is stored with our service providers and may be processed on servers outside India, with safeguards that meet Indian law. It is encrypted in transit, access is limited by role (a community sees only its own members' data), membership QR codes are short-lived and changes to money and memberships are logged. No system is completely secure; if a breach affects you, we will tell you and the authorities as the law requires.

We keep your data while your account is open. When you close it, we delete or anonymise your profile within 30 days. We keep payment, refund, invoice and dues records for as long as tax and accounting laws require, and records needed to resolve disputes or prevent fraud for as long as they are needed for that.

• See a summary of the personal data we hold about you and who it has been shared with.
• Correct or update it. Most profile details can be changed in the app.
• Ask us to erase it and close your account, subject to the records we must keep.
• Withdraw consent, for example by turning off notifications. Some features need certain data to work.
• Nominate someone to exercise these rights if you die or are unable to.
• Raise a grievance with us, and if it is not resolved, with the Data Protection Board of India.

Players under 18 may use Alt Fit only with the verifiable consent of a parent or guardian. We use children's data only to run their games and tournaments, do not track them for advertising and do not send them targeted ads. A parent or guardian can contact us to review or delete a child's data.

We use essential cookies to keep you signed in, and your browser's storage for preferences and for read-only data that loads faster on your device. Our analytics do not use cookies. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.
